If you’re looking for stories with characters so real they could walk off the page, you’ve come to the right place. Known for writing stories that are “told with an amazing sense of reality, with characters that are so vivid they could be your next door neighbor,” (The Book Zombie review), T.J. Vargo’s stories are thrillers in every sense of the word. His novels have won ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year award and have been reviewed for movie adaptation by Creative Artists Agency. So why does TJ write? Here's how he explains it:

I'm interested in writing about characters who inhabit the fringes of society and people who are in desperate situations. Criminals. Laid off blue collar workers struggling to survive. The destitute and the damned. When I find these characters, the stories write themselves.

The First Season In The Crime Series "TOMBS"
Trust no one. Steal from anyone...
After years of saving every stolen nickel, small-time crook Curtis Monroe is ready to leave his life of crime behind. But when his partners beat him and take his money, he decides the only way out is to steal a quarter million in gold from the Catholic church where Julia—the woman he is falling in love with—works. The only hitch? His old gang is planning the same heist.

Tombs is the first novel in a character-driven crime series set in the fictional city of Tombs, Ohio—a rustbelt wastebelt of working-class criminals. The story shines a light on Curtis Monroe, a man who is equal parts sinner and saint, fighting to escape from his life of crime.
